All parts sold come complete with a 12 month warranty to cover you against mechanical breakdown and offer peace of mind. This excludes engines and gearboxes which are covered by a 3 month warranty with optional extended warranties available, and tyres which are covered by a 3 month warranty.

• All used parts are supplied with a 12 month warranty. This excludes engines and gearboxes, which will be covered by a 3 month warranty with extended warranties available and tyres that comes with a 3 month warranty specifically for thread wear.
• In the event of failure a replacement part will be supplied. If a replacement part cannot be found in a reasonable amount of time the full purchase price will be refunded.
• If you have ordered the wrong part, i.e. your part number is different, please return the item including a completed Returns Form (see section below) requesting the correct part and we’ll do our best to get one out to you upon receipt. If the new part is unavailable, we will refund your order and email to inform you. Return postage charges are non-refundable unless your order was faulty, or we sent the wrong part.
• Replacement or refund will only be given on production of the original invoice.
• Replacement or refund will only be given if the goods are returned in the same condition as supplied with the security marks still visible.
• Charles Trent Limited will not reimburse any labour costs / charges involved with fitting, removal and / or changing of parts supplied by the company, under any circumstances.
• Charles Trent Limited will NOT cover any component which has been dismantled or tampered with (other than the replacement of standard service parts or components). Returns are void if you have dismantled or tampered with a part in any way.
• Please note: We strongly recommend that all safety critical parts are fitted only by specifically trained automotive technicians. NO liability can be accepted for malfunction, damage or injury caused by inappropriate fitting of such components.

• 3 Months Standard Warranty: Included with all engine and gearbox purchases.
• (SILVER) 6 Months Warranty (+10%): Available for an additional 10% on the item price. In case of a replacement, the new part will be covered by the same 6-month warranty. No labour coverage is included. *Minimum warranty price £20.
• (GOLD) 12 Months Warranty (+20%): Available for an additional 20% on the item price. If a replacement is necessary, the replacement part will also be covered under the same 12-month warranty. No labour coverage is included. *Minimum warranty price £40..
• (PLATINUM) 12 Months Warranty + Labour Cover (+25%): Available for an additional 25% on the item price. This option covers 12 months of warranty, including labour costs for repairs or replacement. Labour cover only applies to the original purchase. The replacement part is covered by the same 12-month warranty, but further labour costs require additional payment. *Minimum warranty price £60.
To qualify for labour coverage, you must provide invoices for both the original fitment and any subsequent repair or replacement. These invoices should clearly detail the labour hours and
parts used. Both must show the specific work done, and the repair or replacement receipt must be issued under the name Charles Trent Limited. Prior approval from Charles Trent Ltd is required before any work is carried out. Charles Trent will cover labour costs based on the customer's original invoice from the garage, at a rate of up to £75 per hour.
Installation Requirement: Engines and gearboxes must be installed by a certified, qualified mechanic to ensure proper fitting. Installations by private individuals are not covered under the warranty.
• Engines and gearboxes are sold as bare units, excluding additional components such as starter motors, alternators, or gearboxes. Ancillary parts like water pumps, cam belts, turbos, injectors, sensors, and modules are provided free of charge and are not covered by the warranty.
• A new clutch kit must be installed when fitting a gearbox..
• To submit a warranty claim, proof of purchase for timing kits and approved engine/gearbox oil is required. Failure to provide these receipts will void the warranty. Receipts must be clear and legible.
• Before installation, a thorough inspection of the vehicle is required to rule out any unrelated issues. Any warranty claim must be supported by diagnostic reports, videos, and images of the faulty part, which will undergo review by the seller. If the issue results from overheating, lack of lubrication, neglect, or failure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines, no replacement or reimbursement will be provided. Faults caused by components not supplied by us are not covered.
• Engines and gearboxes must be serviced and inspected prior to installation. Any ancillary parts provided with the unit are not covered and should be tested separately.
• ECUs and electrical items are non-refundable due to the potential for damage from incorrect installation or vehicle faults.
Non-Transferable Warranty: All warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser listed on the invoice. The vehicle registration on the invoice must match the part being claimed. Charles Trent Ltd reserves the right to inspect any part claimed under warranty before approving a replacement.
We hope that you are completely satisfied with your order from Charles Trent Limited but appreciate that there may be a time that a part needs to be returned to us. Simply return the part/s in their original condition within 30 days of receipt for a refund. We will issue a refund upon receipt and examination. Items should, wherever possible, be returned in their original (or similarly robust) packaging with a completed Returns Form.
