Will GB And EU Flags On Number Plates Be Legal Post-Brexit?
Fear not, if your car has GB or EU flags on its number plates, they will still be legal Post-Brexit, irrespective of the deal or no deal outcome. This news isn’t top of the Brexit agenda, but it’s handy to know you won’t have to shell out for a new set of plates on payday weekend.
There has been no update to number plate law and until this changes, registered vehicles will continue to contain the EU flag with the GB identifier. Given the significant changes on the horizon we don’t expect this to change anytime soon!
If you are a UK driver travelling abroad, you will need to apply a GB sticker on the rear of your vehicle, even if your vehicle has GB number plates.
